Dog
owners and their four legged companions no longer
have to search for a place to go. The dog park
which is scenically located next to the Bayonne
Bridge in Dennis P. Collins Park, is named in honor
of a 4 year old yellow Lab "Sirius", a bomb
detecting police dog with the Port Authority of
NY/NJ who was killed on Sept.11, 2001.
Park Amenities:
- 100 X 75 ft. double gated
enclosure
- Walk-in area
- Water fountain (Human & Canine)
- Plastic Bag Dispenser (Bring
your own)
- 4 Benches
- Replica fire hydrants & shaded
areas.
- Exercise Ramps
Below are
some park rules which the City of Bayonne requests
residents who utilize the
dog park to follow:

No food allowed
for dogs or people.

Dogs must wear
current license tags at all times.

Owners must carry
leash for each dog.

Maximum of 2 dogs
per owner.

Dog owners must
clean up after their dogs - bring plastic bags.

Dogs which
repeatedly bark or show aggression should be
leashed and removed from area.

Dog must be under
control at all times leashed and unleashed.

Dogs must be
leashed entering and exiting exercise area.
-
Dogs owners are
encouraged not to bring dogs in "heat" into the
exercise area.
